School Meals

Balsall Common Primary School is a healthy eating school. Our menu takes into account a healthy balanced diet. Our catering team will also ensure that any allergies or special dietary needs are well catered for.

School Meal Prices

School meals are £3.50 per day.  Meals should be pre-paid through your child's ParentPay account.

From December 2023 we have agreed a policy for children’s morning snacks. This was an initiative launched by our school council.

Nursery/Reception

We provide crackers for a morning snack and the children have access to free fruit or vegetable snacks through the day.

KS1

Children are provided with either fruit or vegetable snacks each day.

KS2

Children can have any fruit or vegetables, plain crackers or breadsticks on Monday to Thursday’s to be brought from home. Children do not have to bring a snack if they do not wish to.

On Friday’s there is a free choice – to bring snacks as listed above or something different. We ask for no sweets or chocolate bars please.

All children have access to fresh, chilled water all day. Please provide them with a bottle of water at the start of the day, which can then be re-filled.
